The good news for anyone who’s been refreshing the server list like it owes them money: Assetto Corsa EVO 0.8 is live across the entire Safe-Track fleet. All 18 public servers — 12 in Europe, 6 in the USA — took the new build (D6C63D) without so much as a lift off the throttle. No red flags, no safety car, no “have you tried turning it off and on again.” Just a clean green-flag rollout while most of you were asleep.
We’d love to tell you it was a nail-biting, heroic all-nighter. It was not. The servers updated, shrugged, and went back to idling at the pit exit. Frankly a little rude of them to make it look that easy.
🆕 New track: Kyalami
South Africa’s finest is now in the rotation. Fast, flowing, and blessed with a main straight long enough to let you really regret your gear ratios. Bring sunscreen and a healthy respect for Crowthorne corner — the leaderboard is a blank page, and someone’s name is about to be on top of it. Might as well be yours.
🚗 Three new cars, three new personalities
- KTM X-Bow GT2 — a road-legal fever dream with the aero of a small aircraft and roughly the same weight as your lunch. Points where you look. Terrifying. Wonderful.
- KTM X-Bow GT4 — the slightly more sensible sibling, in the way that a chainsaw is “the sensible option” next to a flamethrower.
- Volkswagen Golf 8 R — yes, that Golf. It has now wandered into a paddock full of GT machinery, parked confidently, and refuses to acknowledge it doesn’t belong. We admire the commitment.
All three are already baked into the auto-rotation, so you won’t have to go hunting — the fleet will happily serve them up, Kyalami included.
📋 By the numbers
- 18 / 18 servers updated — 100% clean, zero downtime
- 1 new circuit (Kyalami 🇿🇦)
- 3 new cars (2 with number plates, 1 with delusions of grandeur)
- 0 servers harmed in the making of this update
Grid’s open. Go find out whether the X-Bow loves you or is merely tolerating you. See you at Kyalami. 🏆
